MILWAUKEE (August 25, 2008) — U-Line Corporation, the leading innovator of premium built-in, undercounter appliances for ice making, refrigeration and wine preservation, announces the expansion of its beverage center product line with the new Origins Series model 1075BEV Beverage Center.
“Today’s beverage centers are quickly becoming one of the most popular appliance additions,” remarks Jennifer Uihlein, president of U-Line Corporation. “Homeowners appreciate the versatility that beverage centers offer with dedicated storage for wine as well as space for other beverages.”
U-Line’s beverage centers offer the added bonus of two temperature zones so that wine is stored at an appropriate serving temperature while other drinks are chilled at a lower temperature.
“Beverage centers have wide appeal among consumers,” states Uihlein. “Many wine enthusiasts enjoy having different bottles on hand, but don’t require an entire appliance dedicated only to wine storage. A beverage center is an ideal appliance solution for those wanting some wine storage and space for other beverages.”
The new 1075BEV is the introductory model to U-Line’s beverage center lineup of three models with graduated features and pricing. Part of U-Line’s Origins Series, the 1075BEV Beverage Center has the look of a commercial grade appliance with its stainless steel door frame, full-length vertical handle and straight lines. A tinted thermal-tempered glass door prevents harmful UV light rays from penetrating the cabinet. Two sliding wine racks located in the top of the cabinet have natural wood fronts and provide storage for up to 16 standard .75 ml bottles. Below the wine racks are two removable tempered glass shelves that hold up to 48 12-ounce bottles and 63 12-ounce cans. Wine is stored at 45 degrees Fahrenheit, while the lower portion of the cabinet maintains a cooler 38 degrees. A manually operated dial control for adjusting the temperature is integrated into the black grille front.
Origins Series 1175BEV Beverage Center
Also part of the Origins Series, the 1175BEV Beverage Center offers the same features as the 1075BEV but includes push button digital controls located in the bottom of the cabinet. The digital display panel provides current temperature readings and allows you to easily adjust the temperature setting a few degrees with the push of a button.
Échelon Series 2175BEV Beverage Center
U-Line’s premier product offering is distinguished by elegance and innovation. The 2175BEV Beverage Center is a striking appliance with a full wrap stainless steel cabinet and door frame, contoured vertical handle and soft lines. An optional commercial style door handle is also available. Homeowners who prefer integrated appliances can select an overlay model that will accept a custom-made wood door frame to match surrounding cabinetry. The black interior creates a dramatic backdrop for the beverages. Sliding wine racks are enhanced with contoured natural wood fronts. Like the Origins Series models, the 2175BEV maintains a distinct wine storage temperature zone at 45 degrees and chills beverages on the glass shelves below at 38 degrees. A touch control panel located in the bottom of the cabinet displays the current temperature reading and puts the ability to adjust it right at your fingertips.
